Shift Events Gives
We believe that bikes build better communities. That is why we donate a substantial part of our earnings to support community improvement projects that make real differences in people’s lives. We aren’t talking about some nominal percentage, and we don’t ask our participants to go out and fundraise. By simply signing up and showing up for an amazing day on the bike, you are actively helping us create a positive impact in the world.
We are incredibly proud of the impact that our organization has had over the past 36 years and over $4.5M in donations.
Shift Events Impact is over $850,000 in 2024
We give in three ways:
$100,000 in grants given directly to community nonprofits where we host our events
$150,000 to nonprofits on behalf of our dedicated volunteers
$600,000 in pass-through donations, using the Triple Bypass, Hundo, or Beti Bike Bash as a goal for fundraising
2024 GRANTS
We are proud to give $100,000 in grants to select nonprofits that show exceptional community building in the areas where we host our events.
$20,000 for the Active4All INSPIRE Program at Evergreen Parks and Rec. The INSPIRE program provides inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities, helping them thrive through adaptive activities, social engagement, and physical fitness.
$10,000 to elevateHER, a Chaffee County, CO-based non-profit providing young women the opportunity to cultivate resilience, fortitude, and tenaciousness while developing physical and mental strength through a unique blend of outdoor adventure, mentoring and wellness.
$20,000 to the Clear Creek Schools Foundation to support the Sean Wood Educational Fund. Clear Creek Schools Foundation strengthens the Clear Creek School District by securing resources to enrich student experiences and build community support for education initiatives.
$10,000 to Boys & Girls Club of Chaffee County, whose mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
$20,000 to Bicycle Colorado, a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Denver. Their mission is to lead a passionate and growing movement that champions the interests of everyone who rides or wants to ride a bicycle in our state.
Rider Fundraising
Each year, various individuals and groups participate in our rides as a fundraising challenge. Whether forming a team or riding solo, our participants raise money for causes that matter to them.
This year, our riders raised nearly $600,000 for nonprofits, supporting organizations such as the Epilepsy Foundation and Lucky to Ride.
Want to use the challenge of our events to raise money for a nonprofit you believe in? Contact natalie@shiftevents.org. We can set up a fundraising page directly through your rider registration page.
2024 Donations
Thanks to the dedication of our 500+ volunteers, we donated over $150,000 in 2024 to various nonprofits that provide volunteers for our events.
Their support has been instrumental in making our events successful, and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication.
If you are aligned with a nonprofit that would be interested in volunteering at any of our events, please contact Natalie@shiftevents.org.
